Student Registration Eligibility
A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or an international student card. Students must be currently enrolled in part- or full-time study.
Member Registration Eligibility
A member is defined as one who is a member of the Association for Advancement of Animal Breeding and Genetics (AAABG). Proof of membership status will be required to receive this registration type.
If you are not currently a member, you will have the opportunity to purchase membership during the registration process to access the discounted member registration rates.

AAABG 2027 is pleased to be exploring a series of Field Day Tours to complement the Conference Program and showcase leading agricultural, animal breeding and genetics operations across the region.
Tour details, itineraries and pricing are currently being finalised by the Local Organising Committee.
Delegates who register for the Conference and express interest in the Field Day Tours will receive further information as soon as details become available.
Welcome Function

Time: 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Following the conclusion of the first day of the Conference Program, delegates are invited to join us for the AAABG 2027 Welcome Function. This relaxed networking event will provide the perfect opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, meet new delegates and continue conversations from the day’s sessions in a social setting.
Delegates who register for the Conference and select to attend the Welcome Function will receive further information as soon as details become available.
Conference Dinner

Location: Delama Event Space, Nyaal Banyul – Geelong Convention and Event Centre
Time: 6:45 PM - 11:00 PM
Join fellow delegates for an enjoyable evening of networking, conversation and celebration at the AAABG 2027 Conference Dinner. The evening will bring together researchers, industry professionals, students and producers from across the animal breeding and genetics community to continue building connections beyond the Conference sessions.
Delegates who register for the Conference and select to attend the Gala Dinner will receive further information as soon as details become available.
- All payments must be made in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include 10% GST.
- Full payment is required at the time of registration for credit card payments.
- Invoice payments must be paid within 7 days.
- Invitation letter for visa purposes will only be issued after full payment is received.
Cancellation of Registration Deadline: Friday, 22 January 2027 AEDT
Cancellations must be notified in writing (e-mail is sufficient) to the AAABG 2027 Secretariat. Cancellations made by Friday, 22 January 2027 AEDT will result in a full refund less $150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by Tuesday, 9 March 2027 AEDT without incurring any cost penalty. Refunds for cancellations received after Friday, 22 January 2027 AEDT will only be made in exceptional circumstances. The host reserves final decision on a case-by-case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances. It is recommended that travel insurance be secured personally upon registering. The AAABG 2027 Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers of registrations.
All best endeavours will be made to present the program as published on the website. The AAABG 2027 and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the meeting, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The host and the AAABG 2027 Organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the host and the AAABG 2027 Organisers do not accept responsibility for the loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The AAABG 2027 does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.
Note participants may be photographed or filmed at any time. By attending, you consent to the use, publication, or reproduction of your image or recording in any form of communication material used to promote the event and report on its events through publications and resource materials. If you do not wish to have your image photographed or filmed, please contact the secretariat in advance or onsite to advise of your preference.
In the event of a postponement, all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new AAABG 2027 dates. All components of your registration including accommodation bookings and Field Days Tours tickets will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the AAABG 2027 Secretariat to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost, or request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $150 administration fee up until the Registration Cancellation Deadline.
In the event of the cancellation of the AAABG 2027, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full.
