Planning for AAABG 2027 is well underway, with an exciting program taking shape across the Conference week.

Delegates can look forward to three days of scientific and industry content, complemented by networking, a dedicated Producer Day, regional Field Day Tours and opportunities to connect with colleagues from across Australia and around the world.

Field Day Tours

Monday, 22 March 2027

Take the science beyond the Conference venue and experience innovation in practice.

AAABG 2027 will feature a curated Field Day Tours Program showcasing regional industry, research facilities and innovation across Victoria.
Tour options and itineraries will be released in the coming months.

Delegates are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest for the Field Day Tours Program during registration. Expressions of Interest will assist with planning and forecasting demand and do not constitute a confirmed tour booking.

Conference Program

Tuesday, 23 March to Thursday, 25 March 2027

Across three days, the AAABG 2027 program will bring together the latest research, industry insights and emerging innovation in animal breeding and genetics.

Producer Day

Wednesday, 24 March 2027

A dedicated Producer Day will form part of the AAABG 2027 program, connecting the latest research with practical application.
The program will bring researchers, livestock producers and industry stakeholders together to explore how advances in animal breeding and genetics can translate into practical outcomes for industry.

Social Functions

AAABG 2027 will offer plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues, continue conversations beyond the scientific sessions and enjoy Geelong with fellow delegates.

Welcome Function - Tuesday, 23 March 2027

Start the Conference by reconnecting with colleagues and meeting new contacts at the AAABG 2027 Welcome Function.

It’s the perfect opportunity to settle into the Conference, catch up with familiar faces and make new connections ahead of the days to come.

Conference Dinner – Wednesday, 24 March 2027

Come together for one of the highlights of AAABG 2027 at the Conference Dinner.

Enjoy an evening of great food, conversation and networking as we celebrate the Conference and the animal breeding and genetics community.
